The dark practice of body snatching started centuries ago, and it really peaked in the 18th century as the medical field began to grow. And as the demand for more corpses ramped up, so did the trade….Gangs of body snatchers would crawl through graveyards, searching for the freshest bodies to desecrate. Families would go to visit their deceased loved ones graves, only to discover that their bodies were gone. This became a huge issue…but with the eventual introduction of new laws, the body snatching trade saw a massive decline. But that doesn’t mean that it disappeared altogether…it does still happen, even in modern day. And some of the more recent cases of body snatching are almost too disturbing to mention.
