How to Get a Free US Virtual Phone Number with Google Voice
Learn how to Setup Google Voice for US Phone Number without Verification. Learn how to get a free us phone number from any country all you need is a VPN connection before you setup and virtual US DID number. Find Google Voice app from Android Playstore or iOS App Store. Install it on your phone. Open it and follow the on screen instructions. Google Voice will get current Phone location and try to assign a phone number that is near to your physical location. You will be give multiple locations to chose from. In my case I was give 3 nearest cities that Google Voice will pick a Google Voice phone number. Remember this phone number will be yours. Write it down. Protect this Google Verification code. It is assign to you and your Gmail address that you sign up with. During the verification process Google will ask to link to a actual phone that it will call that give you a code to enter into Google Voice app. Remember to right it down and enter it correctly in the phone for verification. When I signed up, I use Personal account setup. With Personal account you can forward calls to linked number, voicemail transcripts, mobile apps for Android and iPhone and add credit to make calls. You do not have option reserved for Workplace account features such as do not disturbed based on Calendar working hours, identify incoming Google Meet calls, use contacts for corporate directory, desk phone compatibility, auto attendants, ring groups.
You have the choice to tell Google to forward calls made to Google Voice number to ring that physically cell phone or land phone number (if you still have one) or even an another virtual number. I do not want any calls coming to Google Voice phone number to forwarded to my verification phone number so in the Google Voice Settings and under Incoming Calls deselect verification phone number. Also in the Forward Messages deselect the verification phone number by unchecking the checkbox. Under Devices and numbers and under Linked numbers delete your verification phone number. Google Voice will say when you are deleting linked number that you will no longer be able to call with your Google Voice number from this linked number and Forward Google Voice calls to this linked number. This is exactly I want. I do not want any links to verification phone number from my Google Voice number for Privacy reasons. Now you have a total private number that is not associated with Cell phone or land phone provider where no one but Google can verify your Identity. Technically you do need a phone number to create a google voice number, and if you're creative you can simply get an inexpensive phone from Skype or virtual phone number (DID) from a provider. You can use these numbers to activate your google voice number. Almost any working phone number can be used for verification. I used a Virtual Phone number to verify my Google Voice account.
