On December 27, 2020, RTU MIREA volunteers visited Agafya Karpovna Lykova.
Agafya Karpovna got in touch on December 7 and said that she did not have enough supplies for this winter and asked us to pass on her request for help to the Governor of the Kemerovo region – Kuzbass Sergey Tsivilev.
Employees of RTU MIREA appealed to Sergey Yevgenyevich with a request to assist in the delivery of hay and mixed feed to the hermit. The governor of the Kemerovo region-Kuzbass decided to take care of the taiga hermit.
On December 25, a group of staff and teachers went to Kuzbass to visit Agafya Karpovna and personally check whether she still needs any help.
Representatives of the Kuzbass administration sent aid to the taiga hermit through the staff of the Khakass Nature Reserve, who delivered her hay and mixed feed during one of the regular flights of the territory.
Agafya Karpovna thanked the administration of Kuzbass, the Khakass Nature Reserve and MIREA – Russian Technological University for their help.
