Developed in Japan and accepted internationally, the Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP) is a framework which aims to ensure international rule-of-law, stability, and shared prosperity. FOIP’s pillars have been continuously expanding and now include various areas from energy to cross-border cooperation and engagement with the Global South. However, with new challenges and a fast-changing geopolitical landscape, what does the future hold for the Indo-Pacific? Our expert panel moderated by Ms. Hayley Channer and joined by Dr. Michael R. Auslin, Prof. Kyoko Hatakeyama, and Prof. Chester B. Cabalza will look at this complex question and its implications for this dynamic region.
