How to enable folder compression in Windows to make disk space
If you are running out of disk space on your Windows desktop or laptop, file and folder compression is a feature that could free some disk space. I am showing how to enable the feature. On some folders it may save even half the size. In my case, compression Microsoft Visual Studio build tools reduced the folder size from 1.88Gb to 987Mb, thus it saved me 1Gb of space. However, not all files can be compressed the same. Usually images and executable files will not benefit that much from compression.
