The COVID-19 pandemic has unleashed an unprecedented number of effects. The quantitative effects on health, economy, travel, social interaction and almost any walk-of-life imaginable are massive. There is no doubt that this is a deep crisis, with profound effects. As we speak estimations and extrapolations of what this means for the future of cities and societies takes on new heights.
In this Science Talk, Ole B. Jensen educates us on what Covid-19 has meant for the social space in cities focusing on disruption of social space and the fact that we have become aware of elements such as air. Air and space are now a means of the common, carrying a risk that e.g. showcases in the marking of lines in the supermarket and drive in test centers. - and hence the need to rethink mobile situations.
