This video shows my 1986 Volvo 240 DL 2.0 sedan. The car has been stored in a barn for more than 3 years and last week (just after I sold my Volvo 740 GL) I decided to take the car on the road again. After installing a new battery and filling the tank with some petrol the Volvo 244 started immediately and runs pretty well. The car is now back from the garage (it's required to have a new MOT / approval if you want to have a car on the road) and will be used frequently again.

This Volvo 240 DL is from August 1986 and has a M47 manual transmission and doesn't have power steering. The engine is a B200K redblock with a Pierburg carburator. The car is very basic but it's very cool in my opinion. More videos about this 240 saloon can be found in my Youtube-channel.

In this video I'm showing the interior of my Volvo 240 from 1986. The reason the steering wheel is very big is simple: the car doesn't have power steering so it needs a big wheel to make steering the car a lot easier. It's still pretty heavy when the car isn't rolling but it works good enough. The upholstery isn't cleaned yet, so you see a lot of dirt and sand from the barn where the car has been stored for more than 3 years. You've got to love the fish bone pattern of the blue upholstery, but it's pretty cool I think. Very 80s! :)
