The Redmi 5 Plus is a spectacular looking phone. This is my review of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus after a month. I go over some of the xiaomi redmi 5 plus features, battery life, performance and camera. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is an incredible phone if you are in the right location as I noticed that my signal is not strong in my neighborhood, but going downtown I get 4G and everything works great. I used it on T-Mobile in the US.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Pro Camera performance is better than all the other Chinese phones I have reviewed. It is more consistent and works better in lowlight than the rest. It only has a single rear camera, but you can still get a nice depth of field, not that the 2nd camera on the other phones did much anyway.

The Redmi 5 Plus weighs in at 180grams and is 8mm thick. It has a 5.9" 18:9, 2160x1080p display which gets bright enough to see in direct sunlight. The phone overall has performed well besides the issue that I encountered as mentioned in the video. I really have been enjoying their UI, but do miss a couple of features that it is lacking from stock android.

Comparing the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus vs OnePlus 5t, they share almost the same body size and screen size. Side to side they both look very slick.

With Xiaomi new realease of the Xiaomi Note 5 Pro you may want to go for that one if you want a better camera and if you want some portrait mode as the note 5 pro can achieve that with the secondary camera. The body looks similar to the redmi 5, but it just shifted the camera and added a second one. Xiaomi Note 5 pro and the Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus both still have the micro usb port.
