The info you have about invites isn't correct.

The Bluesky team distributes invites on a schedule. Some users get lucky and get a bunch early, but that's up to the Bluesky team. Just because you're on Bluesky doesn't mean you have any invites.

I will never understand the Elon dick riding train. Twitter has been a dumpster fire since Elon took over.

Idk how anyone can claim that hate speech hasnt exploded. I mean how could it not when he literally opened the gates for all kinds of bigots. Theres tons of hateful content on twitter. Maybe YOU don’t see the content as hateful because you are in that crowd and encourage it. But if you are involved in any form of anti racist/ anti semitism / antilgbt circles because its important for your own literal survival as a minority in this country. Then it becomes way more visible as these aren’t jokes, or free speech these are attacks. And considering that Twitter has a very strong presence of minority communities, such as black Twitter and the LGBT side of users. Even a simple change of the platform only allowing 100-500 Bigots to stay online can result in what feels like seismic shifts in social spaces which were already venerable to abuse to begins with.

Thats like if you had a large userbase of pro gun owners then then in came 100 anti gun lawyers all of whom have never lost a case. The entire foundation of that platform would change. So when you hear people say Twitter is falling appart people mean it.
I for one cannot wait for BlueSky and yes i have used Masto but it has its own problems.

Given human nature, there is no way Musk can roll back content moderation and not experience an increase in hate speech. Myself, the tone of Twitter has shifted for the worse (it was already bad since 2016, but now it'sk markedly worse). Blue sky is desdened to fail because Twitter is full of bots that drive engagement

That's what I want... a democrat echo chamber. Go back and look at all the fact checks during the pandemic that now look foolish. Fact checks shouldn't be political bias, they should be literally, fact.. checks... Simple.

As for twitter, I think people will check out bluesky, but they'll come back to twitter when they realize it's not what they wanted after all.

Bluesky is so popular..... No one has ever heard of it until now.....No one wants a censored platform. Just because of what people found out what Jack Dorsey did to twitter censoring people based on Jack Dorsey bias political views. Just because of that. People are looking more and more every day for a uncensored platforms. Only dumb Ã§§ would claim People want there first amendment censored.

I used to think charging for verification was wrong, but actually it's not.

Maybe there's a better alternative in the future, but it's essentially a security feature.

As long as you can't just pay to impersonate someone else, it seems fine.

surely there was something in the sales contract of twitter that said the owners couldn't just launch a copy of the twitter product. seems odd. lawsuit somewhere down the line?
