Redesigned from the ground up, with more than a thousand songs to get your polyrhythms game going, the Genius Jamtracks algorithm thinks and plays like an actual jazz trio. Rather than the tedium of playing along with predictable, prerecorded phrases, now you can jump in on the instrument of your choice and experience the thrill of seemingly endless variations in a Genius Jamsession right from your smartphone.

The Rhythm and Harmony sliders give you the freedom to customize the complexity of your session. From simple triads to jazz chord voicings up to more complex chord progressions and negative harmony, you can experiment with how the app plays each song according to the slider level, as well as move from the traditional comping of a standard play-along and common polyrhythms of the jazz vocabulary to more complex, challenging and sometimes superhuman rhythms.

The app also features two modes - Random, which allows the Genius Jamtracks trio decides on their own what to play and when to play it, based on the style of the song and the tempo, and Quick Set Up, which allows you to focus on a specific grouping, polyrhythm, or rhythmic displacement by asking the trio (by individual instrument or all three) to include only the polyrhythmic phrasing you request. As you won't know when or how it will be used, this feature also helps sharpen your ability to improvise as well as mastering that rhythm.
