In this Baldur’s Gate 3 guide, I’ll show you how to recruit Minthara without having to slaughter the grove, allowing you to gain a powerful ally without compromising your morals—or losing key party members like Karlach and Wyll.
We start by visiting the Goblin camp, where we knock out Minthara before she can trigger any cutscenes. This approach prevents the bloodshed and ensures that you don’t have to choose between recruiting Minthara and saving the grove.
Next, we navigate the treacherous halls of Moonrise Towers, where Minthara is imprisoned and subjected to a brutal mind-wiping by two Questioners, Jasin and Sumera. You’ll have several options here: you can persuade or intimidate the Questioners into letting you take control, or you can fight them to save Minthara from losing her memories. I’ll walk you through the best strategies to handle this situation, ensuring that Minthara survives and can be freed.
After freeing Minthara, I’ll guide you through the escape from Moonrise Towers. You have the choice of using the fast travel waypoint or taking a more dramatic route by freeing the other prisoners and escaping with them on a boat, which will take you directly to the Last Light Inn.
Once you’ve successfully escaped, a crucial dialogue with Minthara will trigger, giving you the opportunity to recruit her into your party. I’ll explain how to navigate this conversation and ensure that Minthara finds her way to your camp. From there, I’ll show you how to make room in your party by dismissing a current member, and then officially bring Minthara into your team.
By the end of this guide, you’ll have Minthara as a powerful ally, all without sacrificing the grove or losing your other companions. It’s a win-win scenario that will add depth to your Baldur’s Gate 3 playthrough.
