The primary F-15 air-superiority fighter, the F-15 QA, is a two-seat, multi-role derivative of the F-15 E, and is expected to take part in the aerial demonstration. For US$6 billion, Qatar purchased 36 F-15 QAs from the US in 2017, a significant component of the country's aspirational plan to enlarge and upgrade its air force.
Boeing claims that the F-15 QA program has integrated cutting-edge technologies into the sophisticated F-15, which includes fly-by-wire flight controls, an all-glass digital cockpit, and capabilities for electronic warfare, radar, and modern sensors.
These aircraft, which use digital engineering and advanced manufacturing, represent a revolutionary development for the F-15.
The F-15 QA was created to enhance the dominance of the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) by offering the greatest payload, speed, and range of any fighter in the world.
With extra weapons hardpoints installed, this F-15 can carry up to 16 air-to-air missiles, but at a significant speed and range penalty.
