What types of Heat transfer are happening in a AHU and Chiller?
Write in the comments section.
Heat transfer is the movement of thermal energy from one place to another due to a temperature difference. It's a fundamental process that happens all around us, from the warmth of the sun reaching Earth to the cooling of a cup of coffee.
There are three main types of heat transfer:
Conduction: This is the transfer of heat through direct contact between molecules. When one part of a material is heated, its molecules vibrate faster and collide with neighboring molecules, transferring energy. This is why a metal spoon gets hot when placed in a hot cup of tea.
Convection: This is the transfer of heat through the movement of fluids (liquids or gases). When a fluid is heated, it becomes less dense and rises, carrying heat with it. This is how a pot of boiling water circulates heat.
Radiation: This is the transfer of heat through electromagnetic waves, like light or infrared radiation. This is how the sun warms the Earth, and how a fire radiates heat.
