Lately i’ve seen a few comments going around about how to create a bootable usb for Mac OS Mojave and in this video I’m going to show you how.

Step 1: Get a 16gb USB 3.0 drive.

Step 2: On a Mac goto the app store and download mac os mojave but DO NOT proceed with the installation. Just download it from the app store and when prompted to install press command+q to quit the installation.

Step 3: insert the usb drive to the mac

Step 4: use spotlight and search for “disk utility” and launch that app

Step 5: select the usb drive from the menu on the left and format it using the mac os journaled partition scheme and also name the drive UNTITLED

Step 6: use spotlight and search for “terminal” and launch that app

Step 7: copy and paste the following code into terminal and press enter and then follow the prompts. sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Mojave.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/untitled

Step 8: once the files have been copied you should receive a message telling you that the process was successful and now you are ready to go.

You can now insert that usb into any mac and when booting it up hold down the option key to select the usb drive you created to re-install the OS onto whatever hdd or ssd you have.

Any questions , let me know.
