The selection pseudo element in CSS 🔥
This allows to customise the appearance of text when it is selected.
Note that only a few properties can be customised, namely:
👉🏻 background-color
👉🏻 color
👉🏻 text-decoration
👉🏻 text-shadow
👉🏻 stroke
⚠️ ACCESSIBILITY WARNING:
Make sure that if you are customising the selection color, there is enough contrast between the background and the text colour.
⚠️ In some older versions of Firefox, you would need to add a vendor prefix
