A quick video tutorial on how to start a 2017 - 2019 GMC Acadia with a remote key fob that has a dead battery or is showing the error message "No Remote Detected".
According to the GMC Acadia owners manual, If the remote key fob battery is weak the DIC may display NO REMOTE DETECTED or PLACE TRANSMITTER IN POCKET TO START when you try to start the Acadia. The DIC may also display REPLACE BATTERY IN REMOTE KEY and the Acadia won't start.
To start A GMC Acadia showing No Remote Detected:
1. Open the center console and place the bad or dead remote key fob in the GMC Acadia's transmitter pocket.
2. Press the brake pedal and press ENGINE START/STOP.
