Sakamoto (Yamaguchi syndrome), or apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (ApHCM)
Professors Sakamoto,Tei et al first described ApHCM & giant negative T waves in 1973 preceding Yamaguchi paper by several years. First operation for ApHCM was performed by the great Mayo surgeon late Dr. Dwight McGoon in 1972
