My (refresher) Research on Mothra:
Mothra is also known as The Angle of Darkness and is a Giant Moth that first made her appearance in 1961 and first with Godzilla in 1964. She first hatched into a caterpillar, spins a cocoon and emerges as a gigantic moth. She is always portrayed as a kind creature and is often allies with Godzilla fighting off other "bad" monsters in Godzilla movies.
