2x4 Porch Chairs - Simple Cheap Lounging
We built a modular 2x4 porch couch awhile ago and wanted to add a couple matching 2x4 lounge chairs. So we built these. These chairs look like the couch but they are lounge chairs so they have a few enhancements to make them more....loungey....
As we did with the couch we built everything from super-cheap 2x4 lumber and added spiffy fold-up shelves to hold food and drinks if needed and stow away if not needed. Plus these chairs are pretty comfy with their cushions we got from Lowe's.

Lounge Chair (make as many as you want)
2 x 24" 2x4 Front Legs
2 x 31" 2x4 Back Legs
5 x 25" 2x4 Horizontal Braces
2 x 32.5" 2x4 Seat Supports (make 5-degree cut on both ends)
2 x 33.25" 2x4 Arm Rests
5 x 25" 1x3 Seat Slats
4 x 20.25" 1x3 Back Slats
Fold-Up Shelf (1 for each Arm Rest)
1 x 23.75" 2x4 Outside
1 x 16.5" 2x4 Inside
2 x 10" 2x4 Sides
1 x 15" 2x4 Hinge Mount (split down center)
1 x 10" 1x4 Shelf Support (any width over 4" works)
2 x 12" Floor Tiles
