Soruthihudu Maniya Maligi is a famous folk song that has been reimagined by All OK in a unique way, giving it more soul and infusing an electronica vibe to it, along with new age rap verse. Sorutihudu is a philosophical song about human ignorance and how to attain wisdom and clarity in order to make our existence meaningful, happy and fulfilling in all spheres of life. This philosophy is explained through a beautiful analogy of a leaking roof in a heavy night storm; where water dripping inside the house is caused because of a gap in our understanding and acceptance due to ego, greed and ignorance. But the song offers a simple solution to get out of this state for a soul awakening, that can lead to a better future through inner work. All these intense emotions have been conveyed though a brilliant rap and driving beats that will engage audience of all age-groups, young and old.
(The original song was part of a Kannada biographical drama called Santha Shishunala Shariefaru, written in 1990)
