Hello, art lovers! I've made a short video about one of my past drawing projects: Drawing From Memory. In this project, I asked friends, relatives, and strangers to share photos and stories of people from their past who had a positive influence in their lives. I collected and drew 65 portraits of people's teachers, children, grandparents, and other meaningful individuals.

The beauty and complexity of drawing portraits has fascinated me for more than 20 years, and I look forward to sharing that experience with you in this 6-week online class (May 15 to June 19, 10am - 12pm PST). It's an intro to exploring the human face: structure, proportion, shading, and expression. Previous drawing experience is recommended.
