What happens if someone change procedure while it is getting executing?
Scenario: There is a procedure around 1000 lines and execution takes around 1 hour.
It will take around 30 min to reach the 900th line. FYI: Assume no logical/syntax mistakes are done.
Q1: I started the execution of the procedure in 1st SQL worksheet and after 10 min
I notice some logic was missed at the 900th line so I changed the logic and recompiled the same procedure
in the 2nd SQL worksheet. Will the procedure executing in the 1st SQL worksheet be complete? or fails as I made changes while it executing? Will changed logic to be applied? Q2:After 10min of proc execution in 1st SQL worksheet,
I recompiled in 2nd same proc and called(executed) the same proc. Will the procedure executing in the 1st SQL worksheet be complete? or fails as I made changes and started executing again? Will changed logic be applied?
