During the third month of pregnancy, the fetus undergoes significant development. At this stage, the fetus measures around 3 inches in length and weighs about 1 ounce. The facial features become more defined, including the formation of eyelids, ears, and a nose. The internal organs continue to develop, with the heart pumping blood and the liver producing bile. The baby's arms and legs also become more distinct, and the fingers and toes start to form.
