AutoDesk Certified Instructor, Elliot Gindis is a NetCom Learning instructor. Elliot is currently an engineer for the Air Force. He has worked as Network Engineer with Siemens Transportation Systems, he also held contract positions with IBM & Liz Claiborne. Elliot has over 10 years of industry experience with AutoCAD. Elliot is the author of 'Up and Running with AutoCAD 2013'.
Elliot Gindis explains that AutoCAD software is primarily used by architects and engineers for everything from drafting houses to electronic schematics. It is an electronic drafting board and is quite complex to learn well. Elliot likens learning AutoCAD to learning to play the piano and that it takes lots of practice to get the best out of the software. He also states that any engineer or architect should know this software as a skill.
