Proclamation of Senator-elect Robin Padilla - May 18, 2022
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) proclaimed actor Robin Padilla as one of the 12 winning senators in the May 9, 2022 elections. The proclamation was held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
Padilla won with with 26,612,434 votes, thus leading other senatorial bets who made it to the magic 12.
Padilla is pushing for charter change and a federal form of government and believes his victory at the polls meant that those who voted for him also support his call for constitutional reform.
