Motown In Mono & Stereo: "A Little More Love - Kim Weston" 45/Mono Mix, Stereo Mix
Time Stamps: 0:00 Mono; 3:03 Stereo
A marvelous record...that only was released in Europe. William Stevenson and Ivy Jo were really superb in producing these Hollywood Soundtrack-like massive ballads. How they were getting such clarity in the mix is remarkable considering how many instruments were being used; and these productions never sounded dense, cluttered or indistinct. You could hear just about every last note and instrument here and on the similarly spectacularly BIG, "I'm Still Loving You."
One has to believe that the reason why this and other Stevenson/Hunter records were produced with such a monstrous soundscape was because of Kim Weston's epic singing abilities. Her voice was big and she could handle these sorts of Power Ballads without fear of her being swamped in any way, shape of form by the music. In fact, it was the music that had to compete with HER.
