Maumere, Flores Island, Indonesia - Untouched Beautiful Nature
Maumere has suffered utterly in the early 90's due to an earthquake and tsunami that hit the coast destroying not only the city but also the surrounding coral reefs.
Now, over 20 years later, sea life is recovering at an astonishing rate.
It was also a surprise to our crew that barely any plastic was seen in this specific location - a very common issue in Indonesia and in almost all Asian countries.
