Hi all,
This is the first vlog of a series of episodes I will be releasing about the North Queensland region in Australia.
Hamilton Island is one of the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland, Australia, close to the Great Barrier Reef. Most of this car-free island is covered in bushland, and the coast is fringed by coral reefs. Tours offer up-close sightings of koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and kookaburras. Trails lead up to Passage Peak in the east, with views of the surrounding islands.
Hamilton Island is the perfect base to explore all the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. Day trips regularly depart to go snorkelling or scuba diving in the azure waters. The reef is brimming with marine life, from colourful coral to tropical fish, turtles and rays.
I didn't spend a whole lot of time in Hamilton Island but this trip was already enough to experience it and enjoy it.
