Saving Kyloring Chapter 1 - Introducing Kyloring, the western ground parrot
This first instalment of 'Saving Kyloring' is part of a series we've produced for Friends of the Western Ground Parrot which shows the latest developments in recovery efforts for Western Australia's most endangered bird - the western ground parrot.
There are less than 150 of these beautiful parrots in the world, and they're only found on the south coast of WA. Scientists from the Western Australian Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions along with project partners @PerthZoo @BirdLifeAustralia1 South Coast NRM and others have been working hard for over a decade to save it from extinction and have recently carried out a wild-to-wild translocation to try and establish another population
