Dangerous Images Captured in Nature. wolf attack, Such images, even if they are harsh, are very difficult to capture and show how natural selection works, weak specimens being eliminated by predators.
The natural selection captured in very rare images by our colleague Cristin Cireș, who is in a monitoring action in the forests of the Călimani National Park.

Cristin caught the attack of a wolf on a deer, it was fighting with the powerful predator. Wounded, the deer escaped alive and took refuge in the forest.
Wolves attack in packs and direct prey to places where it loses its mobility, for example rivers, where it is killed.

️ ️ Very discreet and efficient predators, wolves are rarely seen in the wild. The largest species in the Canidae family, the wolf is a pack-living carnivore and plays an important role in maintaining ecological balance and maintaining naturally healthy ecosystems.

i ️ They can cover dozens of kilometers a day in search of prey and when they attack, they can run at almost 60 kilometers per hour. They have highly developed senses, a particularly fine sense of smell, highly developed hearing and sight, allowing them to hunt day and night.

Romania has one of the most developed wolf populations in Europe.

The Calimani National Park, one of the 22 national and natural parks managed by the National Directorate of #Forests - #Romsilva, has an area of 24,556 hectares within the counties of #Suceava, #Mureș, #Bistrița - Năsăud and #Harghita.

i ️ According to the Management Plan, 16,808.4 hectares are included in the Strict and Integral Protection Zones, where human intervention is prohibited, and 7,747.3 hectares are in the Sustainable Conservation Zone, "buffer".
