Sky Pond is my favorite hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. This was shot in October, 2019 and we unfortunately didn't make it to Sky Pond on this trip as conditions at Loch Vale forced us to turn around before we could push on any further. The hike to Sky Pond begins from the Glacier Gorge Trailhead. There are so many beautiful things about this hike. You will get to see two waterfalls: Alberta Falls and Timberline Falls. You will also get to see three different lakes: Loch Vale, Glass Lake (or Lake of the Glass) and of course, Sky Pond.

This video shows our attempt at making it to Sky Pond in Rocky Mountain National Park in October of 2019. Unfortunately we had to turn around at The Loch because conditions were less than favorable. Sky Pond begins from Glacier Gorge Trailhead and is approximately 9 miles round trip with 1,780' of elevation gain.
