This is a new feature called “Structure Reference” on the Adobe Firefly web app. After playing around with it, I realized you can use it to combine your photos and art. There’s something satisfying about visually combining your own two original pieces of artwork, instead of using only text prompts.
After some trial and error, here are my tips:
TUTORIAL & TIPS
1. Go to firefly.adobe.com (click “Try Structure Reference”)
2. Tap "Generate" (add in a short text prompt - no need for detail)
3. Tap "Structure" and upload your first photo. It will use the overall shape of this photo
4. Important It will ask you to confirm that this is your own original work, or that it's an image that you have the rights to use
5. Then you have the option to adjust the strength up or down. The higher the strength, the more closely the result will adhere to the shape of the photo
6. Tap "Styles" and upload your second photo. I like using artwork here, as it will be using the overall style, colors, and textures of this photo. Again, confirm this is artwork that you have the rights to use
7. Adjust the text prompt. I've found that when combining two photos, I get the best results when I leave the text prompt as vague as possible, and I'll use the prompt "art"
8. Bonus tip: For best results, go to General - Aspect ratio, and change the aspect ratio so it's the same as your Structure photo
9. Hit Generate!
