A pair of Peregrine Falcons Falco peregrinus is shown in flight at a site in London. Filming was assisted by a stiff southerly wind as the birds were able to 'hang' on the up draught as the tiercel and falcon displayed to each other. However, obtaining this material was technically difficult as these film clips were captured on a small digital video camera without a viewfinder. It was impossible to see if the autofocussing on the subject (when it could be seen) was sharp, as bright sunlight was reflecting from the preview screen. Under these circumstances the results were better than expected.
