Are you suffering from hump back, forward head, headaches, neck pain, jaw pain, carpal tunnel, wrist pain, mommy thumb, and/or back pain?!⬇️

You have to FIX your spinal alignment and posture FIRST to heal and prevent common injuries that actually occur in another areas of the body!

You gotta start try this simple exercise: weighted (or using a theraband at home!) 10-20 reps x 1-3 sets!⬇️

I do this at least once a week for my posture with a theraband tied to a doorknob at home but it can be done more often depending on your injury, issues, or postural deficits⬇️

I’m 33 weeks pregnant here with my second trying to strengthen my scapular muscles because I know gravity, weight gain, and postpartum are only going to make my posture worse!⬇️⬇️⬇️

Posture correction is one of the most underrated treatments in physical therapy

Most people wait too long to make postural changes and end up with calcification and deformities that may only be corrected with surgery (or managed with physical therapy)

It’s critical to see a physical therapy even after it’s been years to help slow the postural abnormality progression and alleviate pain and symptoms related to postural abnormalities such as numbness, tingling, radiating pain, stiffness, etc.

FORWARD HEAD posture and SLOUCHING can result in neck pain, jaw pain, dizziness, back pain, and headaches. Poor posture can also exacerbate gut issues such as acid reflux and constipation! Sound familiar?‍️

I did these throughout my first pregnancy and have begun doing them during my second as well as postpartum because of all the BREAST FEEDING, LIFTING, & CARRYING!
