In this session we will introduce you to Bioconductor - a one-stop shop for all things bioinformatics. Bioconductor serves as a repository of packages that can be used for the analysis of high-throughput data in genomics and molecular biology, and is also a rich source of educational material. We will also introduce you to the versatile and powerful S4 class system that is used by the Bioconductor project to provide a consistent approach for performing various kinds of omics analyses, ranging from RNAseq to proteomics.
We will use the article “Orchestrating high-throughput genomic analysis with Bioconductor” (https://www.nature.com/articles/nmeth...) as our guide. While no prior experience is assumed, if you would like to code along, you will need to have the programming language R installed.
