How to EASILY Beat Ruin Hunter in Genshin Impact - Free to Play Friendly!
Due to demand, I've made a guide on how to beat a Ruin Hunter.
The Ruin Hunter fight is incredibly simple once you realize how meager its kit is. It only has a small number of attacks that really mean anything, and even though it's large and has good range on its melee attacks, they're all able to be dashed through, which makes fighting one solo very easy. They're more deadly in groups of other Ruin type enemies, but disabling one is incredibly simple if you have a unit that can place down a Geo Construct and a Ranged unit.
The main strategy for taking down a solo Ruin Hunter is to bring any Geo Construct unit like Geo Traveler, drop a rock, stand on the rock, and land a shot in its eye. This disables it for a good while so you can deal damage to it. The Ruin Hunter will ALWAYS face its target while in Long Range Mode (LRM), so it makes it very simple for you to land the shot. You don't need to panic to aim, you have a solid 3-4 seconds before you need to start caring about getting hit while its in LRM. Don't let it linger for too long in LRM otherwise it will start to do some weirdo moves that can get a little messy.
MANDATORY UNITS:
Technically, none. You can smack this thing with anything.
Lowkey, a Ranged unit.
RECOMMENDED UNITS:
Bring a Ranged unit and a Geo Construct Unit for maximum ease. You could just kill it with high damage or even perma-freeze it. Doesn't really matter too much.
Geo Traveler (High Damage + Geo Construct + F2P)
Amber (High Damage + Ranged + F2P + Baron Bunny)
Noelle (High Damage + Shield + Geo + F2P)
Xiangling (High Damage + Pyro + F2P)
Kaeya (Permafreeze combo + F2P)
Barbara (Permafreeze combo + F2P)
Xingqiu (Permafreeze combo)
Chongyun (Permafreeze combo)
Diona (Semi-permafreeze combo + Ranged)
Tartaglia (Permafreeze combo + High Damage + Ranged)
Ganyu (Permafreeze combo + High Damage + Ranged)
Literally anything with damage
MAYBE DON'T BRING THESE UNITS:
None, this fight is completely 100% doable with all characters, just don't let it get into LRM if you don't have a Ranged unit.
