Mention ghost ships and a few will always pop into mind. But one of these is so old and so famous that it exists even in the minds of those who have never even gone to sea. A tale so famous it exists in children's tv shows and has even inspired an opera of the same name. The Flying Dutchman needs no introduction, but in case you didn't know it, this is the tale of the Dutch East India Company ship that haunts the seas to this very day.
