Here's the quick and easy way to dry pinecones in the oven for Christmas crafting, Christmas garlands, or Christmas wreaths and ornaments. This is how to dry pinecones and make sure no critters come out of your pinecone decor.
This is our 2nd year doing this and the best part is it's FREE! You can save and reuse your pinecones each year so you'll only be doing this once for each batch.
How to:
Bake at 200 degrees Fahrenheit between 30-60 minutes, until pinecones begin to open up and smell woody in the oven. They will look dry and open up.
Keep your pinecones dry. I store mine in a Ziplock bag over the year and they stored beautifully.
You can also take your dried pinecones and decorate them, or add scent. I choose to leave ours fragrance free because I find Christmas scents a little overwhelming.
