Here's an honest look at how we started using oral narration in our homeschool for the first time with a year 1, 3, & 4. First step for me: Reading Know And Tell by Karen Glass (link below). Next step, modeling it for them and diving in.
They say it can take a year just practicing for a new narrater to get the hang of it, especially if they are young. Older children can often learn much more quickly and have better narrations sooner. That's been our experience so far, and I've seen each of my 3 kids improve over 12 weeks!
