Check out my Free Illustration Mini Workshop where I share my journey from Amateur to Pro: https://www.thedrawingcodex.com/illus...
You will get some simple advice on how to get more detail and polish in your work. How to think about composition. And my thoughts on how to prepare for professional work.

Let's Talk about LLMs and Generative Imagery... Again.
There is always AI drama about, and the best thing to do is ignore it and work on your art... do some drawing. But I thought you might be interested in my take on some of this. Many people have asked me in comments for a more up to date video on AI... so here we go!

Below is a summary I wrote in 5 minutes instead of using AI to generate it.... to help understand the video and aid search optimisation:

----
In this Video I discuss some of the recent AI Art Controversy. Specifically whether 'Real Artists' can use AI in their process.

I talk about the history of technological assistance that artists have used as well as the reliance on reference. As well as the importance of having a solid illustration process.

Is AI just another tool for artists to use?

What separates great artists who use major technological crutches from those who are just refusing to learn the fundamentals?

Can we just consider ourselves 'Directors' and employ an 'anything goes' attitude to the process...

...Does the end justify the means?
